ABOUT MOVIE:
This Movie is based on a Battle that is called "The Battle of Thermopylae" That took place in 480 BC. An alliance of the Greek city states fought with the invading Persian army at the mountain pass of Thermopylae. The Persian King Xerxes was the leader of Army of well over 100,000.The Persian king Xerxes has about 170,000 army before war. Men with Greece was 300 Spartans, and several hundred Arcadians. King Xerxes waited for Ten days for King Leonidas to surrender . The battle was fought for about 3 days and after the battle all 300 Spartans were killed. The Spartan defeat was not expected. But because a local shepherd, Ephialtes, informed Xerxes of a separate path through Thermopylae, which the Persians used to outflank the Greeks.
